2 year RA position, Sussex University/DEMAND Centre

School of Global Studies Department of International Relations
Research Fellow Full time, two years fixed term
Salary range: starting at £31,342 and rising to £37,394 per annum
Expected start date: 1 September 2015 Expected interview date:  3 August 2015

Applications are invited for a Research Fellowship to work with Professor Jan Selby (International Relations, Sussex) and Professor Elizabeth Shove (Sociology, Lancaster) on a project on ‘Invisible energy policy’ which forms part of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council research centre Dynamics of Energy, Mobility and Demand (DEMAND) (http://www.demand.ac.uk/). The position is multi-disciplinary spanning sociology and politics. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant social science discipline. They should have some experience of conducting qualitative research. Experience of research on policy processes and experience of policy engagement are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be based in Sussex’s Department of International Relations and School of Global Studies.
