TiraMacDui (Scottish Tiramisu!)

(for 8 people)

  • 115g sponge fingers or savoirdi biscuits
  • 397g can sweetened condensed milk
  • 500g mascarpone cheese
  • Several slugs malt whiskey
  • 150ml strong black coffee
  • 15g cocoa powder
  1. Mix together the mascarpone and condensed milk
  2. Mix together coffee and whiskey in a shallow bowl
  3. Dip each sponge finger/ biscuit into the coffee mixture one by one – making sure they dont go soggy – and line the bottom of a trifle dish with them
  4. Spoon half the mascarpone mixture over them
  5. Springle a generous amount of cocoa powder on top
  6. Repeat steps 3, 4, 5
  7. Chill before serving for about an hour
