Working closely with DEMAND’s Co-Directors (Prof Elizabeth Shove and Prof Gordon Walker) you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Centre’s administration, and for research dissemination and communication. This involves taking the initiative in planning, co-ordinating and co-designing conferences, workshops and meetings; managing a programme of impact and promotional events, producing and drafting related materials, maintaining and improving the Centre’s web site and social media output, and providing careful and accurate editorial support for the production of a series of edited books.
You will be responsible for actively developing the role to the full, for pursuing and following through opportunities to develop and promote the Centre’s research and for providing efficient and effective administrative support for all aspects of the Centre’s work.
You will be educated to at least degree level or have equivalent experience. You will be a confident and self-motivated team member with a lot of initiative, communication and interpersonal skills, energy and enthusiasm, as well as excellent numerical and IT skills and an absolute commitment to detail in all aspects of the job.

This is a fixed term appointment until the end of April 2018.
